So How Much Will This Cost?

While a flat rate may seem simpler and more convenient, I have found that by itemizing my charges, I can show my clients exactly what they are paying for, such as travel time, mileage, printing, postage, and other costs. This way I can avoid undercharging or overcharging and it is the most fair for me and my clients.

When you request my service, I will ask a few simple questions, and, in most cases, can get you a quote right over the phone. As long as I asked the correct questions, and you gave me the most accurate information you could, I guarantee my quote and will not charge extra if it costs me more than expected. So you can rest easy knowing what you are going to pay quickly and can shop around if you desire.

Here are some, but not all, of the items I take into consideration when coming up with a quote:

  • What kind of documents are being notarized? This can determine how long the appointment needs to be and if additional work needs to be done before arriving.
  • Each act of notarization. How many pages will I need to sign and stamp?
  • How many people (signatures for each act)? Is it just you or will there be multiple signers that I will need to verify identity for?
  • Mileage. How far will I need to drive there and back?
  • Do you just need witnesses? If so, how many?
  • Do you need me to print/scan/fax the documents for you?
  • Do you need me to put them in the mail for you or deliver them to a person or business?
  • Is this a rush? Do you need this done right away or can we schedule a future appointment? I usually consider less than 2 hours between the call and appointment to be a rush.
  • Is the time you need outside of my posted business hours or a Holiday?

As you can see, I put a lot of thought into breaking things out so you know exactly what you are being charged for and I can give you the best price possible.
